Uit DeVliegendeWiki

Windows Mail is de opvolger van Outlook Express. Het is onderdeel van Windows Vista. Het gebruikt een bestandssysteem dat afwijkt van Outlook Express. In Windows 7 is Windows Mail vervangen door Windows Live Mail.

Standaardlocatie van databestanden:

C:\Users\<gebruikersnaam>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail

Migratie naar Thunderbird

Windows Mail slaat e-mails op als losse .eml-bestanden. Ik geloof dat Thunderbird dat kan importeren mbv. de ImportExportTool, zonder dat je Windows Mail nodig hebt.

Windows Contacts

Windows Contacts is het adressenboek van Windows Mail. Het slaat contacten op als XML .contact-bestanden.
